Know Network

Network is a community of people who love God and have a real desire to see lives changed as a result of God's work around us.  We meet across the week in a number of small groups called Cell Groups.

The leadership team of the church support and encourage each Cell Group to have it's own sense of identity with each group holding a vision for God's work in the lives of those in and around the cell.

We also meet every Sunday from 10.30am at the Rothamsted Conference Centre situated on the Harpenden Road between St Albans and Harpenden.

Know the Leaders

Trevor leads our team here at Network and looks to continually shape our development on the efforts of those in our cell groups.  We see that God is putting hopes and plans in to the hearts of the people and that those hopes can turn in to real actions which lead to lives being changed all around us.

Know our Values

As a cell church, we have five foundational values which motivate the individuals and cell groups in the church.

1. Jesus at the centre

  • We want to be obedient to Jesus and develop our faith. This involves having confidence in God and an expectation that He will work.
  • We want to live lives that honour Jesus.
  • We strive to build a relationship with God through prayer, worship, seeking His will, intercession and warefare.
  • The bible is the foundation and plumbline of the church and we seek to read and apply the word in accountable relationships.

2. Every member in ministry

  • Everyone is encouraged and equiped to understand and use their gifts, as led by the Holy Spirit, to contribute to the work of the kingdom of God.
  • We want to use our gifts, time, energy and money to serve others within and outside the church.
  • We believe that leadership is a function, marked by an attitude of service to the church.
  • We know that practical hospitality is everyone's responsibility.

3. Every member maturing in Christ

  • We believe in discipleship that encourages a desire to grow and change, to become like Jesus, free to serve the Lord.
  • Growing in love and honouring all people, forgiving those who hurt us.
  • As we grow we recognise the ministry and encouragement of one another in the Body of Christ.

4. Everyone involved in making Jesus known

  • We recognise God's heart of compassion for everyone.
  • Cells are responsible for:
  1. Growing and multiplying as new people join the group.
  2. A shared commitment to friends and family who do not know Jesus, seeking ways to introduce them to Him.
  3. Supporting one another as we work to see the Kingdom of God extended in our spheres of influence.

5. Cells are communities marked by sacrificial love and honest relationships

  • Cell groups are not meetings! They're a group where dynamic, loving, caring and accountable relationships encourage discipleship and outreach.
  • Cell groups are outward looking - not just focused on themselves!
  • Our community life includes the children and young people in the church, whose gifts and service are recognised. We encourage collective responsibility by all adults for the children and young people.

Know Cell Groups

The biological cell is a basic building block of life. Healthy cells multiply themselves millions of times in the course of a lifetime. Each new cell looks identical to the original cell because the DNA branded nucleus multiplies itself before the cell reproduces. In this way, the first cell is as healthy and productive as the newest cell formed. The cells work together as organs, muscles, bone and skin to make the body function as a true miracle from God.

cellsA spiritual cell group is very similar to a biological cell. Followers of Jesus share their lives together, showing the love of God through actions and deeds between one another and those around us.  As the Cells develop, new leaders are raised up from within the group to act as leaders when the cell multiplies; and so the process repeats itself.

Cell groups meet weekly in homes and come together with other cells as a local body at celebration services. Both gatherings are vital! The cell meets to experience Christ’s love through others in a small intimate setting. The celebration service is to experience God in corporate worship and to receive teaching from His Word. Both are necessary for God’s people to be empowered and encouraged into a sense of destiny and purpose in what they do on a Monday to Friday basis.
